Description: This “doctor”
started a practice in Brandon, Vermont, in the mid 1870’s
and claimed to have extraordinary power of perception in determining
ills and how to cure them. With this advertising spiel, he
drummed up quite a clientele and folks traveled long distances
to receive the benefits and prescriptions. He was still doing
a good business in the 1890’s selling medicines (compliments
to Bill&Betty Wilson). This E.A. Smith medicine is in
sparkling condition. Based on examples found with labels,
this size bottle commonly contained “Herb Bitters.”
