Description: Rare New England Medicine bottle, olive green, pontiled, 6.75”H, applied sloping collar with ring, mint. The glass texture, mouth treatment and pontil scar all point to a New England glass house. The bottles shape and distinctively tooled mouth suggest an early manufacture date, certainly no later than the 1830’s. Although this early medicine is not embossed it is without a question as attractive or more than embossed medicines from the same period, and considerably rarer.
